Those who are interested in organizing a mini symposium (MS) with papers in the areas of their expertise are invited to organize a mini symposium. A mini symposium may have a single session or multiple sessions with 6-8 papers each. To organize a mini symposium, please complete the proposal form below and send us your proposal by email.

Guidelines for Poster Presentation

For poster sessions, presenters are requested to bring their posters to the conference venue and affix them to the designated poster banners.

Your poster will be displayed from August 24th to August 25th. Please attach your poster to the poster banner assigned with your paper ID.

Be sure that you should print out your poster by yourself before leaving your country. There will be no service available to print out your poster at the conference site.

Posters that are not collected after 4:00 PM on the 25th will be removed by the secretariat. Removed posters will not be returned to participants, so please collect them before the designated time if you wish to keep them.

Display Guide

▪ Posters must fit within a display area of 900 mm (width) x 1500 mm (height).

▪ Posters may be smaller than this, but no larger in any case.

▪ Your poster board number and paper ID must be given on your poster. Please refer to the sample as shown below. As we allow the free-form poster, you are not required to follow this specific format. However, you should follow the format of the title block.

▪ Font size is recommended from 18 to 20 so that it can be easily read from 2 meters away.

▪ Posters should be self-explanatory.

▪ Materials for setting up: The posters such as scotch tape will be provided. Please note that you do not need to bring your own materials such as glue and double-sided tape.

Poster Board Images

Those who have interests in the emerging technologies in a wide range of topics of ACEM2026/Structures2026 Congress are invited to submit one-full-page abstracts to the Secretariat of Congress. After acceptance of abstracts, the 4-20 page proceeding papers (single column) should be submitted. Distinguished papers will be invited to be included in a number of special issues of Techno-Press journals.

Online Submission

As the conferences are organized in close cooperation with the Techno-Press Journals, authors may have choices to submit their papers as stated below:

1. Full proceeding paper (4-20 pages)
2. Paper published by any Techno-Press Journal (may present without preparing another paper)
3. Paper submitted to/accepted by any Techno-Press Journal (may present without preparing another paper)
4. Others: Pre-arrangement required / Abstract presentation

Important Notes:

• Those who want to contribute their papers to a Mini Symposium should choose the category of general submission at step 1. After selection your conference, there are mini symposia in the list of themes at step 4.
• After submission, you may check the status of your submitted papers and the paper ID & password at "My page".
• Each registered author can present up to two papers. In order to present more papers, co-author(s) should be registered.
• The presenter may have about 15 minutes (12 min. for presentation and 3 min. for discussion) in a typical session.
• All presentations are oral presentations (No Poster).

- Student rate is applied only when accompanied by his/her professor.
- On-site Registration Fee during Congress is USD $800.
- The Early Bird registration period is from May 4 to July 24.

Currency

The unit of Korean currency is the Won (₩).

Coin denominations are ₩10, ₩50, ₩100 and ₩500.

Banknotes are ₩1,000, ₩5,000, ₩10,000 and ₩50,000.

Credit cards

Diners Club, Visa, American Express and MasterCard are widely accepted at major hotels, shops and restaurants in the larger cities. Check with your credit card company for details of merchant acceptability and other services which may be available.

Traveler's check

Accepted, but may be difficult to change in smaller towns. To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travelers are advised to take Traveler's check in US Dollars.

Business Hours

Government office hours are usually from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and closed on weekends. Banks are open from 9:00 to 16:00 on weekdays and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Most stores are open every day from 10:30 to 20:00, including Sundays.

Tipping

Tipping is not a traditional custom in Korea. A 10% service charge will be added to your bill at all tourist restaurants and hotels. It is also not necessary to tip a taxi driver unless he assists you with luggage or provides an extra service.

Electricity and Voltage

The standard voltage in Korea is 220 volts. The outlet has two round holes and is the same type used in France, Germany, Austria, Greece, Turkey, and many other countries. If you do not have a multi-voltage travel adapter, you can borrow one from your hotel's front desk. If you want to buy one in Korea, you can do so at a duty-free shop, convenience shop at Incheon International Airport, or Yongsan Electronics Shopping Town.
